Screenshot OCR
OCR is an independent way to capture text from the screen. It is not only a fallback for translation; it also helps you copy, review, and reuse text from images or locked surfaces.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Configure an OCR service. You can also choose the recognition language when the service supports it.
Capture text
Section titled “Capture text”- Start Screenshot OCR.
- Select the area that contains the text.
- Review the recognized text in the OCR result window.
- Edit or copy the text, or continue into translation.
OCR result window
Section titled “OCR result window”The result window can show the captured image, recognized text, and visual recognition boxes. Some setups can copy recognized text automatically after recognition.
OCR can also detect QR codes in screenshots when that capability is available.
